Trading Rules

GENERAL RULES

Economic Event trade

  • News trade is permitted, but trades opened/closed during 2 minutes prior to or following major economic releases can generate a max profit of 1% of the portfolio’s initial balance. Excess profits are removed without penalties. This applies to both challenge and funded phases.

    • Automated Systems(ATS)

  • Yes, you can use them as long as the ATS comply with the forbidden trade practices rule. However, you are not permitted to use high-frequency trade (HFT) strategies / systems and/or Gold Arbitrage automated system.

    • Trade Replication

  • replicate trades of any kind is strictly forbidden. Each portfolio must be traded individually, and participants may not duplicate trades or trade ideas, whether manually or via automated system between portfolios at any stage.

    • Dormancy Policy

  • 30 consecutive days, dormant portfolios during this period are breached

    • Social Media & Public Conduct

  • Spreading false information or engaging in negative advertising about Goat Funded participant on social media or public platforms is strictly forbidden.

    • Violations result in:

  • portfolio termination

    • -Permanent ban
    -Potential legal action

    Risk Control & trade Limits

  • Risk limit: GFT may impose a 1% risk limit per trade idea if excessive risk-taking is detected.

    • Non-compliance results in:

  • Immediate portfolio breach
  • No payouts or entitlements

    • Note: Restrictions may be lifted with consistent safe trade practices.
    GFT strictly prohibits high-risk, all-or-nothing strategies, including:
    Using over 80% of available margin on a single trade.

    Daily Profit Cap

  • Funded participants daily profits are capped at $3,000; first two payouts are limited to 6% of initial balance, with no limits following that.

  • Exploit pricing/platform errors, use insider information, front-run trades, jeopardize broker relationships, create regulatory issues, all-or-nothing trade, risky trade styles, hedging (same or multiple portfolios), use third-party/off-the-shelf ATS or strategies, switch strategies between assessment and funded stages, and duplicate trades or trade ideas across portfolios, progressive sizing / Grid Recovery Systems Strategies that increase lot size following losses (progressive sizing or grid) are strictly forbidden.

  • The GOAT Blitz Challenge is a fast-track 3% profit challenge available for a limited time randomly on two weekends every month, offering participants a quick path to funding.
